    One of the largest power systems of the Russian Federation - Tyumenskaya was founded by the order № 60 from 03.05.79 USSR Ministry of Energy, at the base of energy enterprises of REU "Sverdlovenergo” located in the Tyumen region.

    During the State program of privatization of the RF 12.03.1993 OJSC "Tyumenenergo" was established, which is the successor of the state enterprise - the Tyumen Production Association of Power and Electrification "Tyumenenergo" (PAPE "Tyumenenergo").

    On December 26, 1996 on the basis of the Order of the Committee of Economics and Forecasting №391 of 26.12.1996 JSCOT (Joint-Stock Company of Open Type) "Tyumenenergo" re-registered in OJSC Tyumenenergo".

    In the end of 1998 OJSC "Tyumenenergo" has won the prize "The Leader of Russian industry - 98", which was the official and authoritative recognition of the leadership role of OJSC “Tyumenenergo " in the productive potential of Russian economy. In 2001, OJSC "Tyumenenergo" has become the laureate of the Russian annual National Award in Business and Entrepreneurship "Business Olympus". This award is the best indicator of a stable and uninterrupted work of the Company.

    In accordance with the decision of the Board of administration of RJSC “UES of Russia” from 05.03.05 OJSC "Tyumenenergo" reorganized by allocating the companies on the basis of assets of production, thermal power plants and electric transmission assets within the UNEN(United National Electricity Network). As a result of reforms since July 1, 2005 OJSC "Tyumenenergo” is a company the principal activity of which is the transmission of electric energy to distribution networks.

    The Company includes 12 affiliates, providing the implementation of activities related to transmission and distribution of electric energy, with total staff of 6 120 people.

    Features of corporate governance in OJSC “Tyumenenergo" are specified by the presence of a single shareholder - OJSC “Holding MRSK”, which owns 100% of stocks of the Company. This provides the organization of all corporate processes in the company in strict accordance with the interests of its shareholder. Authorized capital of the company amounts to 2 737 389 510 rubles. It is divided into 273 738 951 ordinary registered stocks of nominal value of 10 rubles. On this account that the Company's stocks are not traded on organized equity market, the rates of capitalization are calculated according to the net wealth, which amounts to 60 billion rubles.
