Company position in the industry and region. Priority business linesJSC Tyumenenergo ensures growth of industrial potential for the extremely importation region of Russia, through general improving energy safety for the country and providing reliability, quality and security of electric power transmission and distribution service in compliance with work standards.JSC Tyumenenergo takes the leading position on the market of electric energy transmission to end consumers among grid companies of the Tyumen energy system covering the territory of three entities of the Russian Federation (the Yamalo-Nenets autonomous district, the Khanty-Mansijsk autonomous district (Yugra) and the Tyumen Region). after reorganization, it is the largest power grid in the Ural Federal District. Currently there are three levels of electro network companies formed in accordance with technological and administrative-territorial principles: Level 1. Federal network company, which owns 220 kV and more electric mains forming the Unified National Power Grid (UNPG). Such company performs its activities in the territory of the Russian Federation through its branches located in every region of the country. Level 2. Interregional distribution network company established upon reforming of energy joint stock companies (including JSC Tyumenenergo). These organizations own 110—0.4 kV grids and render power transmission and technological connection services locally, on the territory of entities of the Russian Federation. Level 3. local district network organizations, which generally own 0.4—10 kV grids. These organizations were formed, for the most part, on the basis of reselling businesses established as municipal enterprises to provide services for the municipality consumers and electrical grid facilities of industrial enterprises. JSC Tyumenenergo includes nine branches located on the territory of three entities of the Russian Federation:
In 2010, management authorities of the three constituent entities of the Russian Federation (the Yamalo-Nenets autonomous district, the Khanty-Mansijsk autonomous district, and the Tyumen Region) prepared and approved investment program for 2011— 2015, whereunder JSC Tyumenenergo is to commission 82 sites with the total capacity of 3,152 MVa, and over 4,930 kilometers of power transmission line. Company position in the region Today there are 70 territorial network organizations in the territory of the Tyumen region, besides JSC Tyumenenergo, which transmit power and render technological connection services within municipalities or for own requirements of industrial enterprises. Majority of the network organizations have no direct access to the Unified National Power Grid (UNPG) and render electric energy transmission services mostly at the level of low and medium voltage (0.4—10 kV). They are connected to JSC Tyumenenergo power grid with its higher voltage level. In accordance with Resolution of RF Govern ment of 27.12.2004 No. 861 the Tyumen region uses “commingled” method of tariff making for electric energy transmission services, which implies uniform (equal) tariffs for energy transmission services for all the region consumers regardless of which network organization they are connected to. Existing territorial network organizations do not pose any considerable risks for JSC Tyumenenergo activities, because electric energy transmitted through their networks is received from JSC Tyumen energo power grids. Market share controlled by JSC Tyumenenergo is not expected to suffer and material changes, however the trend towards separate network companies segregation by large oil enterprises, will be maintained in future. JSC Tyumenenergo realizes that it works on a developing market of energy services, and competition is not likely to appear in the nearest future. Therefore one of the top priorities in the Company activities is enlargement of the grid infrastructure, including but not limited to development and improvement of consumer power receptacles technological connection to power grid JSC Tyumenenergo.
